Best Ways to Remote Access My Windows 11 PC While Traveling?

I'm going to be traveling soon and I'll have some free time on my hands. I'd love to use my laptop to remote into my Windows 11 PC at home so I can tidy up a bunch of files and maybe rearrange some folders, like moving pictures around. It feels like it's been ages since I've dabbled in remote access, so I'm wondering what my options are and what security concerns I should keep in mind. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I just tried Anydesk, and it was super simple to set up! They also have a mobile app, which makes it handy for checking on things quickly while you're on the go. It’s secure, and transferring files is a breeze.

Is it secure enough for sensitive files? Can I move stuff around without issues?

For remote access, I recommend trying TeamViewer. They have a free version that should work well for personal use. It's super easy to set up, and you can configure it for unattended access, so you don’t have to be present at your PC to connect. Just remember, any device that wants to connect needs an access code. If you're considering a paid option, it could potentially offer more security features too!

I wouldn't mind paying for a short-term license if it boosts security and convenience.

Another solid option is the built-in Remote Desktop feature in Windows 11. You'd need to set up a VPN connection to your home network first, using something like Wireguard or OpenVPN. It might seem a bit technical, but many find it works great once set up!

This sounds a bit tricky. Would a third-party software like TeamViewer be easier for me?
