I'm trying to upscale an image that's currently 216x144 pixels to at least 3600x2400, and I need it printed clearly. Unfortunately, every method I've tried ends up making it look really blurry. I've heard about the "nearest neighbor" technique in Photoshop, but I can't use that since my computer is low on disk space and I'm trying to avoid downloading more software. I've looked at forums and various tools but haven't found a reliable solution that doesn't involve AI. Any suggestions on how to achieve a clear upscale without blurring the pixels?

This might not be the right place for software recommendations, just saying!
It sounds like you want to keep those big, square pixels! Have you checked out GIMP? It should have a nearest neighbor option that can help. There might also be some online tools that offer similar features, but I haven’t tried those myself yet.
Just a heads up, upscaling non-vector images like JPGs or PNGs can often lead to blurriness unless you're using an AI method. The conventional algorithms will either blur out the image or make it look pixelated, which can be a bit of a trade-off.
You might want to try Faststone Image Viewer. It’s about 9 MB and has some resizing options, including nearest neighbor. You can find it on download sites like Softpedia.
I’ll check it out, thanks for the tip!

I've tried looking online, but most tools are AI-based, and I want to avoid that. Thanks for the suggestion!
