I recently upgraded my RAM on my Windows 11 system, and now BitLocker is asking for the recovery key (which I do have). After turning BitLocker off and decrypting my hard drive, I thought I was in the clear. However, I can't seem to turn BitLocker back on. Whenever I click "Turn on BitLocker," I get this error: "The group policy settings for BitLocker startup options are in conflict and cannot be applied. Contact your system administrator for more information." What should I do to resolve this?

Be careful when making changes to BIOS settings or your disk setup; it can impact your data. Always back things up first. And if that doesn't help, you might want to check out some FAQs related to your issue!
If you're worried about security, but don’t take your device out often, you might not need BitLocker urgently. However, to get it working again, try checking your Group Policy settings. You might find some restrictions that are stopping you from enabling BitLocker again.
It sounds like a tricky situation! You should definitely contact your system administrator. But if that's just you at home, maybe take a look at the Group Policy Editor yourself. It could have some settings that need adjusting.
