I recently swapped out a faulty power supply, but ever since, I've been encountering a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) every time I do anything on my computer, even just sitting idle on the desktop. This wasn't an issue before I changed the power supply. I could really use some help figuring this out. The latest BSoD error message said 'Kmode exception not handled.' Also, just a heads-up, I'm not very tech-savvy, so detailed guidance would be appreciated!

What issues did you face before you decided to change the power supply? Knowing this might help pinpoint what's wrong now.
To get to the bottom of those BSoDs, we need to look at the dump files. If your computer can boot normally or even in Safe Mode, check the folder at C:WindowsMinidump. If you find any files there, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. Having multiple dump files can really help identify the issue. If you don’t have any files, consider changing your dump settings to Small Memory Dump using the guide from TenForums. This helps in generating new crash logs for analysis!
Assuming your new power supply can handle the same load or more, it might be a good idea to check and reseat your memory modules and GPU. Make sure all power connectors are secure, as they can sometimes become loose over time. Also, when I first installed my PSU, my motherboard beeped until I reseated the RAM and cleaned the GPU. It helped me boot, but I still had some issues, so I totally get where you're coming from.

I noticed a burning plastic smell coming from the PSU, so I turned off the PC immediately. Then it wouldn't boot at all. After replacing the power supply, it turned on again, but that’s when the BSoD started happening.
