Hey everyone! I'm not super knowledgeable about graphics cards and could really use some advice. I'm looking to build a PC primarily for playing the latest AAA games with decent graphics and good frame rates, along with some strategy and indie games. I've been looking at a few budget-friendly options and found these models: RTX 4060, RTX 5060, RX 9060 XT, and Intel Arc B570. Could someone break down which of these would work best for my needs and explain their pros and cons in simple terms? I appreciate any help!

For your budget, I'd recommend aiming for a card with at least 12GB of VRAM for better performance, especially for games over $300. This rules out the 4060 and 5060. The 9060 XT will give you a solid performance boost compared to the Intel B570 and B580, which are okay if they’re cheaper but not great.
Honestly, getting the RX 9060 XT is a no-brainer. It’s powerful enough for most modern games, and if you’re playing at 1080p, it’ll handle it with ease.
I think the RX 9060 XT is the best value card right now. It can handle pretty much any game at 1080p and even 1440p pretty comfortably. Just make sure to get the 16GB version for the best performance!
Awesome, thanks for the tip!
When choosing a GPU, keep in mind the numbers: the first digits usually indicate the generation, and higher numbers tend to mean better performance. For just gaming, I'd lean towards AMD cards. They provide similar performance to Nvidia while often costing less. The resolution and frame rate you want to play at are crucial considerations. If you're gaming at 1080p, aim for a mid-range card. Going for 4K at high refresh rates? You’ll need to invest in a premium card. And avoid Intel for gaming when other options are available!
Thanks for breaking that down! It's hard to find simple explanations online. 1080p would be sufficient for me too.
Before you choose, think about your gaming resolution. If you're aiming for 1080p, that’ll really help narrow it down. If you're going for the cheapest option, the other cards won't perform as well for your budget either; the 9060 XT is still the best bet. But if you need ultra settings, shoot for something better.
Just the 16GB version, that's key!
