I'm curious if a monitor can actually cause a blue screen error. My boyfriend has an OLED monitor and has been dealing with blue screen crashes, but it only seems to happen when he's using the computer. He completely reset his PC thinking there might be a corrupt file, but the issue continues. Everything is going to his second monitor, and he can't reboot it properly. When he unplugged and re-plugged the monitors during reboot, the OLED flashed a blue screen again. Could the monitor be causing these problems?

If the resolution is too high for the GPU, it can definitely cause issues. What is the model of his graphics card?
I'm not sure about the exact model, but I think it's a high-end NVIDIA card, maybe the 4090 or even the 5090. He recently upgraded his parts and had blue screen issues before, but they were fixed. It's strange because I've been using his PC without any problems when he’s not around.
