I recently switched to Linux after having some issues with my SSD caused by Microsoft, and I'm wondering if there's any way to access the games I purchased from the Microsoft Store. Are there any workarounds for playing them on Linux?

Unfortunately, you can't directly install Microsoft Store games on Linux as they're tied to Windows or Xbox. They rely on proprietary Windows libraries that just aren't available for Linux users. The only way I’ve heard of to play these games is through a complicated setup involving a virtual machine with Windows installed, which can be quite challenging. It's not an easy solution, so I can understand the frustration.
I'd also recommend being specific in your titles when asking questions. It helps others to know exactly what you're looking for right off the bat!
There's a theoretical method to extract the executable from the appx file of some Microsoft Store apps and run it using a compatibility layer, but I've never had success with it. It could be hit or miss depending on the game. So, while it's not impossible, it might not work as smoothly as you’d hope.
