I have an Apple account that's over 12 years old but I haven't used it for a long time. Recently, I've been getting daily email alerts about too many attempts to answer my security questions—definitely not me trying to log in. It seems someone is trying to access my account. I managed to reset the password, but I'm having trouble with the security questions. Every time I try to answer them, I get a message saying that they don't have enough information to reset them. Plus, the person trying to hack my account keeps using up all the guesses each day. I've spoken with Apple support multiple times, but they say I can only reset the security questions if I figure out the answers first. Once I regain access, I can request to delete the account. Meanwhile, I receive those annoying email alerts every day. Is there anything else I can do or any other resources I can contact for help? I guess I could just block the alert emails, but that seems a bit frustrating. Any ideas?

Honestly, I'm curious why you even care about that old account? You mentioned you're not using it anymore. The hacker will likely lose interest eventually. Once they do, you can go back in and delete it. It might make things easier for you.

I totally get that perspective! But I'm a bit concerned about what *could* be on the account—photos, info, etc. Better safe than sorry, right?
