I've had an XFX TS 550W power supply for around 12 years, and I've been gaming on a 1080p, 34-inch ultrawide monitor. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600 processor and an RX 6750 XT, with 32GB of RAM. Currently, I'm playing Stalker 2 at max settings with about 75fps on a 75Hz monitor. The GPU peaks at 200W draw. Given that my PSU is rated for 550W and the RX 6750 XT recommends a minimum of 650W, I'm wondering if this PSU can also handle an RX 9070 or even an undervolted RX 9070 XT. Has anyone else used a similar PSU with these cards?

A 550W PSU can run an RX 9070 easily since it actually consumes about 30 watts less than your RX 6750 XT. Still, keeping a PSU that's 12 years old is pushing it. A quality 750W unit would cost you under $100 and would be a solid investment for the future.
Great choice! A solid PSU will definitely make a difference in performance and stability.
A reliable 550W unit should work fine with a non-XT RX 9070. However, considering you've had your PSU for 12 years, I'd recommend replacing it. That model is over 15 years old and isn't equipped to handle the high transient currents modern GPUs can pull, which could risk your components.
You really should consider getting a new PSU. Even if your 12-year-old one can supply enough power, it's better to be safe. A good option would be the Montech Century II; it's affordable and will serve you well for the next decade.
Seriously, why do people hold on to aging PSUs for so long? They don't exactly improve with age!
No idea! I’ve never had a problem, so I didn’t think about changing it until now.

Thanks for the advice! Just ordered a MSI MAG A650BN, which should handle an RX 9070 XT if I decide to upgrade.
