Hey everyone! I've got a DVD player that has a USB port, and I also have a USB stick. I want to transfer some home videos from DVDs that I made between 2002 and 2007, as I want to preserve those memories since I don't have many physical copies left. The issue is that my laptop doesn't have a DVD drive, so I was hoping to find a way to rip the DVD contents directly to my USB stick. Is that even possible? I'm not very tech-savvy, so any help would be appreciated! 🙂

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to transfer DVDs to a USB stick using a standard DVD player. Those ports are usually meant just for playing media off a USB stick, not transferring it. Definitely look into getting an external DVD writer for your laptop.
You can't do that! The USB port on the DVD player is only for playback purposes. If you really want to handle those videos, you’ll need to find a way to use a computer with a DVD drive.
Unfortunately, the USB port on most DVD players is typically designed for playback only, so you won’t be able to rip DVDs directly to a USB stick from there. You might want to consider getting an external USB DVD drive for your laptop to handle this task instead.
