About five months ago, my AWS account got suspended due to an unpaid bill of approximately $20. This happened because the credit card linked to my account was blocked by my bank, preventing the payment from processing. The account remained suspended for around 90 days and was ultimately permanently closed. I had only used AWS for personal projects and learning, not for commercial purposes.
Now, I need to use AWS again for a new project, and my credit card is unblocked and functioning normally. My question is whether I can open a new AWS account with the same credit card, or will this trigger any issues because of the previous closed account?

If your card is unblocked now, maybe it makes sense to settle the $20 debt first. After that, you could create a new account without issues.
Honestly, just give it a shot! I think you should be fine opening a new account, but if you're worried, you could contact support about the old balance first.
You won’t be able to use the same email address as before, just a heads up! But you can create a new account with a different one.

A quick tip: you can add a dot or a plus sign to your email to make it unique!
