Can I Get a Refund from Apple After 70 Days for an Unused Subscription?

Hey everyone, I need some honest advice about dealing with Apple refunds. I accidentally subscribed to a service through my Apple ID and haven't used it at all. The payment didn't go through initially, leaving me with an unpaid balance that has now locked my Apple ID. I can't download apps or access any services!

The subscription started on January 11, and now it's late March—over 70 days later. I never used the subscription, so what are my options? It seems like I can either pay off the balance and request a refund, or I can just ditch my Apple ID altogether.

Has anyone here ever managed to get a refund after such a long delay? I know it's past the usual timeframe, but since it was a mistake and the service wasn't used, I'm curious if Apple ever makes exceptions in these kinds of cases. I'd really appreciate hearing about any real experiences. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I have to say no. You had a solid 70 days to deal with this. If you had reached out sooner, you might have had a chance, but at this point, it’s unlikely. Just pay it and move on.

That’s an unusual situation since subscriptions typically don’t go through without enough balance. I’m curious if it was a yearly subscription? If it’s monthly, it should’ve canceled if not paid. Definitely pay it and request a refund, and make sure to cancel that service if you haven’t already.

You really confirmed the subscription by using your Face ID or password, so you’re bound by those terms. Just pay the balance and request a refund if possible, though it's not guaranteed. Just be prepared for an automated process that’s out of your hands.

Honestly, I don’t get why you’d abandon your Apple ID over this. Just pay the balance and be cautious in the future—it's probably the easiest way to resolve it without losing everything you've got tied to that ID.
