Can I Install My Games on D Drive Instead of C Drive?

Hey everyone! I have a pretty low-end computer, and I mostly play older games like Fallout 3. My C drive is almost out of space, but I've noticed my D drive, labeled "DATA D," is completely empty and has plenty of storage. I'm thinking about uninstalling my games from the C drive and reinstalling them on the D drive. Is that a good idea? I also mod my games a lot, so I'm wondering if moving them could cause any issues. Also, I tried to allocate some storage from D to C based on a tutorial I found, but it didn't work out. Installing my games and modding software on D seems simpler, so I'd love any advice on this. Thanks a lot in advance!

Absolutely, you can move your games to the D drive! Most game platforms like Steam and Epic allow you to change the download location in their settings. Just make sure to select the D drive as your installation path. And don’t worry about the label "DATA"—if it’s empty, it’s totally fine to use it for your games! Just keep in mind that when you move them, you may need to reinstall any mods you have, but it shouldn’t cause any major issues. Good luck!

That makes sense! I just didn’t want to mess anything up. Thanks for clarifying!
