I'm building my first PC on Friday and I currently have a laptop that runs on Windows 10. The issue is, I don't have a USB stick to install Windows 11 on the new build. Also, I'm curious about whether I really need Windows activation since I know there are some limitations without it, but I'm not too worried about those workarounds. Do I need the activation or not?

Sometimes it seems odd to build a PC and not have it ready to use right away. Keep in mind that activation isn't absolutely necessary at first, you'll just miss out on a couple of features. But for the best experience, consider getting that activation.
Honestly, if you're building your PC, you will need a USB or some way to boot the installation. There are ways to install Windows 11 using an ISO file, which is worth looking into. Just make sure the USB isn’t an issue.
You might want to consider getting a USB drive since they're pretty inexpensive these days. That's typically the easiest way to install Windows. If you don't have one, you could potentially burn Windows to a CD if your laptop has a CD burner, but that’s not very common anymore. As for activation, you technically don't need it right away, but you'll have some limitations without it.
