Hey everyone! I just ordered a new computer and I'm wondering if I can simply transfer the hard drive and SSD from my old setup to the new one without any issues. I really want to save some cash by reusing these components, but I'm also concerned about losing all my data. Any thoughts on this?

Transferring data drives is usually straightforward, but if you're planning to use your old drive as the OS boot drive, you might run into some issues. It really depends on the hardware differences between your old and new systems. For example, moving from a 10th gen Intel processor to a 14th gen is likely to work with just some driver updates. However, if you're jumping from a 5th gen Intel setup to a newer AM5 AMD CPU, you could face more problems.

So, does that mean I might have trouble? I'm moving from a Ryzen 7 3700X and a 6600XT to an R9 9800X3D and a 9070XT.
