I'm planning to sell my current iPhone before I buy a new one, and I need to know if I can erase it and still keep my data. Normally, I would transfer the data to the new phone first, but if I back up everything to iCloud, will I be able to restore all my apps and data when I log into iCloud on my new phone without any issues?

Absolutely! Just select 'Set up using iCloud backup' during the setup of your new phone, and everything should transfer over smoothly.
Are you selling directly to someone? If you’re using a trade-in service with your carrier, they often give you a grace period to transfer data before you have to wipe your device. That might save you some hassle!
Just a heads up: make sure you haven't excluded any apps from backing up. Sometimes people try to minimize backup size and miss important data. It could cause some apps to not restore completely. If you're not sure, double-check the backup settings before you erase your current phone!

Ooo this is helpful, I appreciate it! I’m generally okay with tech, but I’ve just never set one up without having my previous phone to hand.
