Can I Play Overwatch 2 on Linux Without Issues?

I'm experimenting with Linux on my laptop as a test machine while figuring out what to do about Windows 10. I've tried Linux Mint and Pop!_OS, but I'm having trouble getting Overwatch 2 to run smoothly. There aren't any error codes to guide me; it just won't start. I attempted to install the game using both Steam and the Battle.net app. Steam insisted on compiling shaders for a long time and when I finally skipped that step, it loaded very slowly even on the lowest settings. I have a GTX 1660 Ti dedicated for gaming, so I don't understand why it's lagging. As for Battle.net, it continuously freezes and never connects to Blizzard servers, preventing me from installing the game altogether. Am I overlooking something critical? Is the issue with my laptop's GPU? If I switch to my desktop tower with a 2070, should I expect the same problems, or would it be smarter to try tweaking Windows 11 by removing unnecessary bloat with a TPM bypass?

Have you checked if you're using the right drivers? If you're still on the default `nouveau` drivers, you might want to try installing `nvidia` or `nvidia-open`. Also, if your laptop has integrated graphics, consider disabling that in the BIOS or setting up PRIME properly. Check your distro's documentation for the specific steps; it can differ by distro but it's essential for performance!

I was using the drivers that came with the OS—Mint let me choose, but Pop!_OS seemed to preinstall them. Can you tell me how to install the right ones, or are those commands I should run in terminal? I tried grabbing drivers from NVIDIA directly but it just opened a text editor and went nowhere.
