Can I Press a Bent Motherboard into a Case?

I bought a used Fractal Torrent Compact case and ran into a problem while installing my motherboard. The I/O area of the case doesn't align with the motherboard's I/O connections, and unfortunately, I can't return the case since the return window has closed. I have a few options on how to proceed: 1) Attempt to bend the case back to its original shape, 2) Buy a new case, or 3) Force the motherboard into place and hope it doesn't cause issues when I install the GPU. Is it risky to press the motherboard in like this? The screw holes don't align yet due to the bend. I'm concerned if doing this could lead to any potential hazards, like a fire.

It looks like the screw holes align from your first picture, which is strange. But whatever you do, don’t force the motherboard—instead, consider bending the case back, cutting the opening for more space, or just getting a new case. I've never seen an issue like this before!

I'm attempting to bend it back myself, but I've also ordered a new case that's not used this time. Lesson learned; I won't buy a used case again!

You could try pushing on the area right above the PCIe slots to see if you can straighten the case out. Be gentle though!

Definitely do NOT flex the motherboard! It's better to try and return the case or bend it back. Losing the case is a lot less risky than damaging your motherboard. You can actually run your PC outside of a case if needed while you wait for a replacement—just be careful with it!
