I just upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 version 24H2, and now I'm facing a frustrating issue. Whenever I power up my laptop from a complete shutdown, I reach the login screen but then get hit with a "Critical Process Has Died 0xef" error, requiring me to restart. Usually, after that restart, it boots up fine, but this problem recurs every time I shut down or restart my laptop. Everything was running smoothly before this update. I have two drives: an SK Hynix HFS 512 GB SSD that came with the laptop and a WD Blue SN 570 1 TB SSD. I've attached the dump files from the error here: [dump files](https://files.catbox.moe/y0zj1h.7z)

Before making any changes, just remember to back up your data in case anything goes wrong. It's always better to be safe than sorry! You might want to look into your BIOS settings or how the drives are configured as well.
Have you checked if your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date? Sometimes, outdated drivers can lead to these kinds of issues after an OS update. Just a quick check might save you some headaches down the line!

I believe they're updated. I didn't find any new updates available, but I’ll double-check just in case!
