Can I Remove Ubuntu and Windows Partitions to Free Up Space for Mint?

I'm running Mint, Ubuntu, and Windows on my computer, and I'm considering getting rid of the Ubuntu and Windows partitions. Is there a way to do this to dedicate all my space to Mint without having to completely reinstall Mint on my entire hard drive and starting over?

It's doable, but honestly, if you're up for it, a clean install of Mint might save you a lot of hassle in the long run. It could be quicker than trying to re-size and adjust partitions.

Yep, you can delete those partitions. Just use a live USB instead of the installation one to handle it. I’d also suggest backing up your essential files, just in case something goes sideways during the process!

Absolutely! I once accidentally messed up a partition, and backups saved me.

Definitely! You can do this, but make sure to use a live USB or LiveCD since you'll need the system to be offline to move things around. Tools like GParted are super handy for this. Just remember not to delete the EFI/ESP partition, as that's needed for booting.

You can also go into KDE partition manager, wipe both partitions, and then either resize Mint to fill the new space or create a new partition from the unallocated area. If you don't want the hassle, reinstalling from scratch is always an option. Just make sure to back up your stuff!

That sounds interesting! If I mess up, can I just erase the whole disk and reinstall from scratch later?
