Can I Return a Second-Hand SSD with Damage?

I recently picked up a WD BLUE SN580 500 SSD second-hand, but I've noticed some burnt marks on the pins. I'm wondering if I can still get an RMA from the manufacturer for this issue even though I bought it used.

Actually, I contacted them, and they mentioned that if I register with the SanDisk platform, photos of the product can suffice instead of an invoice.

It's not looking good for you since they typically want a retail receipt as proof of purchase, which you probably don't have.

You'll need to reach out to Western Digital and see what they say. They're likely going to ask for proof of purchase from the original buyer to confirm if it's still under warranty.
