Can I safely reuse cables from my old Corsair PSU with a new one?

I'm wondering if it's possible to reuse the cables from my old RM650X PSU with my new RM850x 3.1 ATX PSU. I just upgraded my GPU, which needs a 3 8-pin connector, but I lost the original cables. Since I bought another PSU from the same line, I'm hoping the Type 4 cables are compatible, but I'm not completely sure. Can anyone clarify this?

I wouldn't recommend reusing those cables unless you can find solid proof that they're compatible. Even within the same brand, standards can be all over the place.

Generally, you should be fine since both PSUs come from CWT and use Type 4 cables. However, I personally always opt for new cables to avoid potential risks. You can never be too careful!

I suggest looking at the Corsair compatibility chart first. If there’s any chance that the pinouts have changed, you could risk damaging your components, so be sure to verify everything carefully.

If Corsair's Type 4 cables are the same for both models, you should be okay to reuse them, but double-check to ensure they're identical for each cable.
