Can I Set Up My PC Without a Graphics Card?

I'm building my first custom PC and have everything I need except for the graphics card. I'm using a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, so I want to make sure I get a graphics card that matches or exceeds that performance. In the meantime, can I start downloading and setting everything up without the graphics card for a couple of weeks? Also, I'd love some suggestions for AMD graphics cards that would go well with my setup.

You can definitely use the integrated graphics on your CPU to set everything up. You'll even be able to play some lighter games, but don’t expect high performance on more demanding titles. Just connect your monitor to the motherboard's HDMI or DisplayPort output!

Yeah, totally! Just keep your expectations in check for gaming; it won't be smooth for the latest titles.

You can manage without an external GPU for a couple of weeks. Unless you're planning on heavy gaming, it's perfectly fine to use the integrated graphics for downloads and setup. For AMD suggestions, it really depends on your budget—consider the RX 6000 series or even the new 9000 series if you can stretch your budget a little.

Exactly! Just be careful with demanding games; those might struggle a bit.

Running your PC without a dedicated GPU is definitely doable! I’ve done it before myself. If you’re willing to wait a bit for graphics card prices to stabilize, that might be a smart move. Just make sure you have everything else set up in the meantime!
