Can I still play Red Dead 2 with a lower-end CPU?

Hey everyone! I've been really excited to pick up Red Dead Redemption 2 after trying it at my cousin's place. It's currently 75% off, so I'm thinking about buying it. However, my computer isn't exactly top of the line. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon R9 200 / HD 7900 Series, which is pretty old, but according to System Requirements Labs, I meet the minimum specs. The tricky part is that they recommend an Intel Core i5-2500K, while I have an Intel Core i5-3470 at 3.20 GHz. Does that mean I should still be able to play it? Or is the site just off? I can refund the game if it doesn't work, but I'd rather not make the trek to the mall for a gift card if I don't have to!

Honestly, you might be able to run it, but don’t expect a smooth experience. It might not be very playable, even if it technically works. Just keep that in mind!

If your CPU doesn't meet the recommended requirements, I'd say it's best to avoid running it. It probably won't give you the experience you’re hoping for.

What if I try it anyway? Is it really that bad?
