I'm looking to take a break from my website for a few months without getting charged. Right now, I have two App Services that serve as database backends and one Static Web App for the frontend. I've successfully hit "Stop" on the two App Services, but I can't find a way to stop billing for the Static Web App. I really just want to put everything on hold without deleting anything. How can I do this?

You've got the right idea with stopping the app services, but unfortunately, that alone doesn't stop the charges. Scaling the App Service Plan to F1 is the best way to avoid fees. As for the Static Web App, the free tier shouldn’t cost you anything unless you're on the Standard plan. Check your pricing tier to make sure!
Sticking with the free tier is the key here. Stopping the app services doesn’t actually lower your costs—you remain on the service plan, and you'll still incur charges. So, changing your plan to the free tier is the route to go. If needed, you could also look into switching your database to a serverless model to minimize costs further.
The cost-effective way to manage your apps is to scale the plan down to the free tier (F1). Just remember, this will limit some features like custom domains and SSL, but your apps will stay deployed, and you can easily scale back up when you're ready.
Unfortunately, just stopping the App Services won’t stop the billing entirely, since you're billed based on the App Service Plan, not the apps themselves. You can stop the apps and then scale down your plan to the cheapest option available. They have a free tier or B1 tier for around $12/month. Head over to the 'Scale Up' section in the App Service Plan to switch it to the cheapest SKU, and that should help minimize your costs.
