I'm currently using a 16GB DDR5 RAM and want to upgrade to 32GB. However, RAM prices for 32GB kits are quite high. Would it be possible to just buy another 16GB DDR5 kit and use all four slots in my PC? I'm also considering if using all four slots would slow things down. I plan to search for a matching kit, too.

Mixing RAM from different brands can work just fine. RAM specs are standardized across manufacturers. However, you might run into issues combining different types or configurations, especially if the memory controller isn't compatible.
True, but standardization means they should communicate. Just be cautious as two different kits might not run at optimal speeds together.
Using four RAM slots with DDR5 isn't the best approach. You might not achieve the maximum speed you expect. If the new kit doesn’t match your existing one perfectly, you could face some compatibility issues as well.
Generally, DDR5 doesn't perform well with four modules. If it works, it may run at lower speeds, but you could still give it a shot. Saving money is a good reason, and you can always return them if they don’t work out for you.
Just a heads up, sometimes you can sell your current RAM if you want to upgrade without taking a total hit on costs!

I don’t know about that; it's pretty common to have problems when using mismatched RAM.
