I recently bought a series disc from Amazon without noticing that it was region locked for the USA. Is there any way I can use it here in the UK, or do I have to return it?

What kind of disc is it—game, DVD, or software? Usually, games and DVDs are region locked unless you have a modified console or DVD player. If it's a DVD, you could try to rip it on your PC to remove the region lock or see if your DVD player can be unlocked by looking up methods for your specific model. It's a bit vague, but that's the best advice I can give!
You might be dealing with region-locked DVDs. Just pop the disc into your player and see if it plays. Sometimes it might surprise you!
I tried it on my PS4 and got a message saying it can't play the disc, and it directed me to a support page.
