I'm working on a small project, and I've got a CPU that uses the FCLGA1150 socket, but my motherboard has an LGA1150 socket. I've heard varying opinions on whether LGA can accommodate FCLGA, but can it go the other way too? I'd really like to use this CPU, but I can't test it out right now.

Great news! FCLGA and LGA are essentially the same thing. Every LGA chip is also an FCLGA chip, so you're in the clear. Just a heads up though, don't invest a ton into this since LGA-1150 is pretty outdated at this point—over a decade old!

Awesome, thanks for clarifying! I'm just doing this for fun and the CPU only cost me about $10.
