I'm trying to connect my gaming laptop, which only has HDMI ports, to a DisplayPort monitor. Is there a way to use a HDMI to DisplayPort signal so that I can make the most of my GTX card's performance? I've tried various software solutions but haven't had any luck. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Just to reiterate, if you're gonna use any adapter, make sure it specifically states it can convert HDMI to DisplayPort; otherwise, the signal won't transfer correctly.
If USB-C with DisplayPort alt-mode isn't an option for you, consider using a dedicated adapter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Shuomeng-DisplayPort-Converter-Compatible-Aluminium/dp/B0DLKMQQCV. It’s known to work well for setups like yours.
Check if your laptop has a Thunderbolt port. If it does, that could be a great workaround for using DisplayPort functionality.
You can find cables and adapters on Amazon that can help with this setup. Just be cautious because most DisplayPort adapter cables are uni-directional, meaning they only work one way. If you're looking for a specific option, let me know!
Could you share some links to those cables?
Yeah, most of these cables are uni-directional. However, I've seen a ton of DisplayPort to HDMI cables; I've just never come across a reliable HDMI to DisplayPort one.
