Hey everyone! I'm currently dual-booting my MSI Prestige 15 A12SC laptop, which has a GTX configuration, and I want to access features similar to the MSI Center PRO that is available on Windows. However, it seems like my specific model isn't officially supported yet, while older models like the A10SC and A11 are. Do you think it's worth trying to install the software meant for those older models, or should I just hold out for when my model gets supported? I've already shared the EC dump of my laptop on GitHub due to some issues I encountered.

MSI Center is mostly considered bloat on Linux. Generally, Linux manages hardware just fine without that extra software. MSI-EC might look cool, but it may not be necessary. If your fans and power settings are working properly with TLP, then Linux is probably communicating well without it.
From what I've seen, your laptop specs shouldn't be a major roadblock for running Linux. Why not just give it a shot and see how it goes? It might end up working fine!
Yeah, it runs Linux already, but I'm a bit concerned about driver stability. TLP is telling me I'm on generic drivers right now.

But wouldn't TLP perform better with personalized drivers from MSI-EC instead of the generic ones? I can't even do battery recalibration with the current setup!
