Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to building PCs, but I've put together a budget rig with a B550M-K motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, GeForce 2600 RTX GPU, 16GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM, and an NVMe SSD. It's been great for gaming with titles like Dota, LoL, and WoW, but I'd like to get a bit more performance out of it on a budget of under $100 AUD.
I decided to upgrade my RAM to 3200MHz since I found a good deal on Lexmark 3200MHz 16GB (8x2) DDR4 RAM for $100 AUD. The only issue is that this RAM doesn't have EXPO/XMP profiles, which might mean it'll run at 2666MHz. It's CL22, so I'm worried that it might not really be an upgrade at all.
Now I'm wondering: should I try to manually overclock the new RAM sticks to reach their advertised speed, or should I return them and look for some reputable used DDR4 3200MHz CL16 sticks that would be easier to use?

You might have been able to overclock your original RAM to 3200MHz as well. But yes, you can definitely manually adjust the settings in the BIOS. If you want to dive into memory overclocking, check out the DDR4 Overclocking Bible for some solid guidance.
I’d suggest trying the RAM first. There’s a chance it might run at 3200MT/s without needing XMP profiles. You may just need to do a BIOS update to get it working properly.
I’m a bit confused. Did you actually buy 3200MHz RAM or not? There’s a JEDEC spec for 3200MHz, so it could potentially run at that speed.
