I'm planning to use three GPUs in my setup: an RTX 3080 as my primary card, a GTX 1080 for lossless scaling, and an older ATI Radeon HD 4890 connected to my 29-inch CRT TV for retro gaming. I'm wondering if this configuration is feasible or if I'm just overthinking it. Additionally, would I need a case with at least 8 slots for all this, like the Thermaltake CTE C700?

You can definitely try it, but Windows might have some issues with drivers. I have a 3080 and a P400, and Windows often messes with my drivers. Just a heads up!
Currently, using multiple GPUs simultaneously like this isn’t really supported. NVIDIA has moved away from SLI for most applications, so it would be tough to get it running as intended.
I appreciate that... I meant using them for different tasks rather than fully loading all three at once!
Using two newer cards together is usually the way to go. Maybe consider setting up a separate, budget PC for your old CRT games instead. It might get crowded if you have everything on your main desk!

Do old cards like the ATI even have drivers for Windows 11? It might be a challenge to get those running.
Most likely you can install drivers via Device Manager, and it often works, even for older hardware.
I use Windows 10, and it's compatible with my old setup.
Honestly, you might be better off getting a cheap, old PC specifically for those S-Video games. It could simplify things.
