I've been having a strange issue: my WiFi on my phone works perfectly, but my Ethernet connection on my PC has been acting up this past week. It used to be great, but now it lags, buffers, and interrupts downloads with network cutouts. I haven't changed anything in my setup. I've been running the same programs, like Opera for streaming and drawing software, without any problems before.
I tested the speeds and my phone shows around 297 Mbps download and 400.9 Mbps upload through the provider app, but my PC is only getting 0.54 Mbps download and 0.23 Mbps upload. That's a huge drop from what I used to get on my PC, which was often similar to my phone's speeds. I haven't switched internet providers or anything like that. I've also checked my network adapter drivers and they're all up to date. I even set the Speed & Duplex to 1Gbps, as suggested by some forums. I'm kind of at a loss here. If you respond, please keep it simple, as I'm not very tech-savvy!

Another thing to consider is if there's any background software on your PC that could be hogging your bandwidth. Sometimes updates or downloads happen without you knowing, so it's worth checking your task manager to see if anything unusual is running in the background.
First off, have you tried using a different Ethernet cable? Sometimes the cables can get damaged, and even if they look fine on the outside, the internal wiring might be broken. If you don’t have a spare, maybe borrow one from a friend or grab a new one to test it out. It could very well be the culprit behind your connection issues.
