I'm looking to upgrade my setup from a 3060 to something more powerful, ideally for 1440p gaming. I've been enjoying DLSS4 recently and would hate to lose that feature. The RX 9070 is priced at $540, while the RTX 5070 is at $593. The 9070 offers more VRAM and is cheaper, but I'm curious if upgrading to 1440p with FSR4 would actually look better than my current 1080p experience with DLSS4. What do you all think?

I'd recommend the RX 9070 for sure. More VRAM means that it's likely to last longer for future games. I picked up a 5070 thinking it would save me money, but I find myself running into limitations at higher resolutions.
I'd definitely go for the RX 9070! It has more VRAM and better overall performance, especially for future-proofing your 1440p gaming. The price difference makes it an even smarter choice, and you'll still see a significant upgrade over your 3060, regardless of the extra tech in DLSS vs. FSR.
I'm leaning towards the RX 9070 too. The VRAM advantage is real, especially if you're into heavy graphics titles at higher resolutions. Remember the 6800 series? It’s holding up well because of the VRAM! You'll want the longevity at 1440p or even 4k down the line.
Yeah, but you have to consider if NVIDIA's backward compatibility and driver support overshadow that. Sometimes I feel like NVIDIA's tech keeps you on top.
You might want to consider that not all games need DLSS or FSR to run well. I’d say focus on what you want from your GPU in terms of features and reliability.
Honestly, I’d choose the RTX 5070. With 12 GB of VRAM, it’s adequate for 1440p gaming, and the support for DLSS makes a difference in many games. Plus, if it's just $50 more, it could be worth getting what NVIDIA offers.

I see your point, but some say DLSS 4.5 is quite a leap from 4, so it might be worth sticking with NVIDIA for that.
