I recently set up a new Apple ID for my new MacBook because my daughter's iPhone and MacBook are all linked to my iPad—it's a bit of a mess with her messages, apps, and photos all coming through on my device. I'm not sure how to separate everything. I also have an Android phone. I'm wondering if I can use my old Apple ID just for App Store purchases while keeping the new one for the MacBook. I didn't realize creating a new ID would restrict my access to my existing apps and subscriptions. This whole Apple situation is driving me nuts! Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly, it's best if each person has their own Apple ID. It prevents all this linking and confusion down the road. If your daughter has her own ID now, that's a good start! But you'll probably want to straighten out the shared accounts to avoid future headaches.
