Can I Use Ubuntu Guides for My Lubuntu Installation?

I'm planning to install my first Linux OS, and I'm choosing Lubuntu because I've heard it's lightweight and fast. However, I'm having trouble finding specific guides for Lubuntu on YouTube, so I'm wondering if I can follow guides that say 'how to do XXXX in Ubuntu.' I feel comfortable navigating the terminal since it's the same, but I'm talking about other tasks that don't require using the terminal. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Keep in mind that while many things will work the same, some graphical interfaces might differ since Lubuntu uses a lightweight environment called LXQt. So, for things like managing settings or file browsing, things may look a bit different compared to Ubuntu.

YouTube, Google, and Discord will be invaluable resources for you. If you hit a wall with guides, you might even want to try using DeepSeek AI for some more obscure commands.

Just to clarify, Lubuntu is basically Ubuntu with a different desktop environment (LXQt). Most operations will be the same, but remember that some default applications will differ because of the lightweight setup.

Yes, anything related to Ubuntu generally applies to Lubuntu as well! Just make sure to check that the guides you follow match the version of Lubuntu you're using to avoid any potential issues.
