I'm not exactly a PC expert. I bought this machine that currently has an RTX 2060, and I'm thinking of upgrading to an RTX 2070 Super. However, I'm unsure if my 500W power supply can handle it. Here are my current specs: RTX 2060 (6GB), an i3-10105F processor, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Also, I game at a resolution of 3440x1440, and I'm not sure how that will impact performance. Any advice?

From what I found, it's recommended to have at least a 550W PSU for an RTX 2070 Super, and 650W is even better for stability. Luckily, power supplies are pretty affordable, so consider getting a quality one to ensure everything runs smoothly.

It really depends on the model of your power supply. I ran an i9-12900K with a 4070 Super on a high-quality 450W Seasonic PSU without issues. But something like a 500W Thermaltake Smart White would struggle without a GPU. Make sure to check the quality of your PSU!

It’s a Thermaltake TR2 S 500. I’ve seen mixed reviews on those for gaming, so I'm a bit concerned.

You can put your specs into PCPartPicker; it will give you an estimate of the total wattage you need. It's a good quick reference, but remember it's not always 100% accurate. It's a starting point, though!

True, but keep in mind they might not factor in peak loads, so it could be off a bit.
