Can My Mom See My Deleted Texts on iCloud?

I'm not really tech-savvy with Apple stuff, so I hope I can explain my situation clearly! I have an Apple ID that my mom manages, and I've recently discovered that she can see deleted texts between my friends and me. I'm not entirely sure how she's doing it, but I think she might have access to my messages either because they're linked to her phone or she can log into my Apple ID. I also noticed that she turned off my iCloud, and I can't access it due to some restrictions on my phone. My question is: if iCloud is turned off and I delete messages, can they still be recovered or seen somehow? How do people manage to see deleted messages after they've been permanently deleted? I'm particularly worried about a specific conversation that I really don't want her to see, and although I think I could hide it since it happened months ago, my mom has a habit of going through my phone for long periods whenever she gets upset with me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If your mom knows your Apple account password, she can indeed just log in as you and see your messages. Even if you delete them, they might still be accessible through their Apple ID system if she’s connected to your account. Since she has control over the settings, she might be able to recover those texts. It's really tough privacy-wise, especially if she regularly checks your phone. You might want to have a talk about privacy boundaries if that’s possible, although I understand that’s easier said than done!

Yeah, it sounds super invasive! It might be a good idea to ask her directly how she accesses your messages. It could lead to a better understanding or a compromise.
