I was at the grocery store yesterday when someone kept insisting on getting my phone number. I felt really intimidated, and after trying to give a fake number that they called and it didn't work, I ended up giving them my real number to escape the situation. Now I'm freaking out a little because I'm worried they might track me or steal my information. Is that actually possible? I'm located in Ontario, Canada.

Nope, they can't track you just from your phone number. But it might be a good idea to change it if you're feeling uneasy about it.
Honestly, no. They can't track your location just from your number. But just to be safe, consider changing your number, don’t answer messages from strangers, and if it bothers you, report it to the police since they called you. Also, make sure you don’t give out too much personal info over the phone.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it! I need to check my voicemail settings too—good reminder!
