I just got a new PC last month, but for some reason, it started running really slowly one day out of the blue. I've tried troubleshooting everything and it all looks fine. The CPU is working normally, I'm almost certain there's no malware, drivers are up to date, and there aren't any pending Windows updates. There shouldn't be any reason for it to be slow like this. I'm really a beginner with PCs, so I could use any help you can offer. I also remembered that I updated Windows the night before I noticed this slowdown. Here are my specs: Intel Core i5-14600K CPU, RTX 5060 Ti GPU, 32GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD with 500GB already used.

If there are no hardware issues, you might want to try a clean installation of Windows 11. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials that can guide you through it. Just remember to back up your personal files and disconnect all other drives except the one with Windows installed. After that, check for any BIOS updates, and then set the BIOS back to default settings. Lastly, don't forget to update your GPU driver for gaming purposes. This process could take some time, so just be patient!
I have about 300GB of games that will get wiped out with a clean install. Is there really no other way?
How many drives do you have on your PC? For example, C:, D:, etc.? It can help to know if you're running into storage issues.
I think just the one, specifically the C: drive.

Ok, I'll try this out.
