Hey everyone, I'm a bit of a newbie here. I recently signed up for a site that allows only one IP address per household, and my friend, who lives nearby, has also signed up. We're both planning to use mobile data for access. My question is, can we get flagged for sharing an IP address since I often have him over at my place? Are there any ways to avoid being banned because of this rule? Thanks in advance for your help!

When using mobile data, you and your friend will have different public IP addresses, so you should be fine on that front. But I'm not sure how strict the site is. If your home internet IP changes—like when you restart your router—would they kick you out for that too? Just something to think about.
The one IP address rule likely means only one per household can access the site at once. It's not about devices but rather accounts. So, you shouldn't have issues as long as you're not using the same account from multiple locations simultaneously.
So if I’m using mobile data and my buddy is too, we should be in the clear since we're not overlapping accounts?
Most internet service providers give you a single external IP address for all your devices, each having its own internal IP. You might want to check what IP your phone is using, though.
I’m not sure what that means. What kind of IP do Android phones have?
If we're both on mobile data, should we still worry about any flags? That's basically how we plan to use it.
