I've noticed that my WiFi has been running really slow, and I tried restarting it, but that didn't help. Right now, it's plugged into an extension cord along with a TV, a lamp, and a diffuser. Could this setup be causing the slowness?
When I plugged the WiFi directly into the wall, the speed improved, but I've read that the extension cord shouldn't really make a difference. I'm curious if the age of the extension cord might be a factor or if having it plugged in with all this other stuff, especially the TV, could be impacting the connection.
I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'd appreciate straightforward advice! Unfortunately, there's only one outlet on that side of the room, forcing me to use the extension cord. Is there any way to improve my connection, or will I just need to live with this issue?

Using an extension cord typically shouldn't affect your WiFi speed since these devices use very little power. The improvement you saw when you plugged directly into the wall might have been due to simply rebooting the device. However, if your extension cord is old or faulty, it’s a good idea to replace it just for safety.

Thanks for the clarity!
