I'm having issues with my computer after trying to fix an error related to Vanguard. A friend wanted to play Valorant, so he guided me through some steps to resolve it, but now my PC just shows a black screen with the message: "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We'll restart for you.
Stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x7E)
What failed: UsbHub3.sys." I know I probably shouldn't have followed his advice, but he's graduating with a Computer Science degree, so I thought he knew what he was doing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You might want to try booting into safe mode and reinstalling the driver through the device manager. It sounds like you might have accidentally deleted the driver your friend had you modify.
Try to reverse the changes that your friend had you make and see if that helps. You can't really troubleshoot if you don't undo what triggered the problem in the first place.
To tackle this issue, could you let us know exactly what steps your friend had you follow? Also, does the error pop up every time you start your computer, or was it just that one time? And is it possible for you to revert the changes you made?
Sorry about that! Should I reformat my post to make it clearer?

I don't really know how to get past this black screen though.
