Can You Check My High-Performance Build for Factorio and Development?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on my upcoming build before I hit the buy button. Here's a link to my planned parts: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/37sXKq](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/37sXKq).

I've chosen a higher-end motherboard because it looks nice, although I know I might need to update the BIOS later. I'm not looking to cut corners there!

Are there any glaring compatibility issues or areas where I might be missing out on performance? I'm also curious if you have any tips to boost reliability.

A few details:
- This is a new build, not an upgrade.
- I'm planning to reuse my NVIDIA 4090 GPU, Corsair HX1000 1000W PSU, and Fractal Torrent case.
- This PC will mainly be used for gaming, particularly enjoying large maps in Factorio, and I also do quite a bit of coding and compilation.
- I'm located in the USA, but there's no Micro Center near me.
- I want to support two 4K monitors plus maybe a few smaller coding monitors, but I'm not planning to buy new monitors just yet.
- My budget is around $2500, excluding the GPU, PSU, and case, but I can stretch it a little if needed.
- I'm using a wired connection.
- I have a strong preference for a quiet setup with the case already bought, however, I'm not keen on AIO coolers.
- I'd prefer dark-colored components but it's not a dealbreaker. RGB is okay as long as it's not overly flashy.
- Lastly, I want something with a simple setup and low maintenance, so I prefer to pay a bit more for reliability.

Why spend big on an older motherboard when you could save cash? You might want to check out alternatives like the Thermalright PS120 cooler which is significantly cheaper and performs close to the pricier options. I don’t get the obsession with the high-end motherboard, but if it brings you joy, then go for what makes you happy!

Everything looks great! Just a heads up, there are rumors about a Zen 5 refresh coming soon with some performance bumps, but if you're ready to buy now, that might not matter much to you. Also, can you manage with 64GB of RAM? For most gaming, that should be fine, but if you're playing around with a lot of mods or complex simulations in Factorio, it could push your limits. If you're up for a quality SSD, consider enterprise-class ones later — I know they can get pricey, though. It's tough not being near a Micro Center; I feel your pain!

Your build looks pretty solid! You're not really losing out on performance with the choices you've made. If you're interested, you could consider going for faster RAM like 8000MT, but it might not be worth the extra hassle or cost. I’d suggest a B850 motherboard over the X670E. The new series tends to work better with the CPU, but if you're sticking with a 2 DIMM setup, it’s likely not going to make a huge difference. Just make sure the RAM options you’re looking at have good timings since it can slightly affect gaming, but overall, you’re in a great spot!
