Hey everyone, I'm looking for some guidance on managing private images showing up in Google Lens. I've used Google Lens to search for personal pictures, and it always shows a message saying 'shared with Google'. Currently, the recommendations I'm seeing mostly suggest deleting Google activity logs, but I'm worried that might only remove the data locally and not actually delete the stored images from Google's servers.
Before that, I tried using the online tool for requesting private removals, but it requires a public URL of the image, which I don't have since my photos are private.
So I have a couple of questions:
- Are there any other methods to verify or completely delete the private photos that might be stored on Google's servers?
- If total deletion isn't possible, do you have any suggestions for minimizing visibility or protecting privacy in this context?
Thanks for any help!

You can’t directly remove images from Google’s servers like that, as they may keep some data for their systems. However, if you want to minimize the exposure, make sure to delete your activity history in Google; that seems to reduce the visibility of those images in searches. Also, consider reaching out directly to Google’s support for more specific privacy concerns.
In terms of officially requesting deletion, there’s no guaranteed way to remove personal photos from Google’s backend unless you get a legal request or use their privacy tools correctly. Just keep in mind that some data could still linger, so staying informed about your privacy settings is key!
Thanks for the advice! I’ll check out the privacy settings more closely.

Yeah, I’ve done the activity history deletion too, but I still wonder if they're safe from being stored somewhere. It’s tricky because there’s no clear verification of complete removal.
