Hey folks, I have a quick question: Is it still possible to download the VMware P2V tool without needing a Broadcom account? If that's not an option anymore, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could share a link to the latest version. I'm also open to other recommendations for tools that can help with virtualizing older systems, especially if they can shrink the main partition during the process. Thanks in advance for any help!

Recently, someone shared a bunch of VMware software over on archive.org, and I believe the P2V tool was in those packages.
Your backup solution might already have the capabilities you need. Check out Startwind V2V or even Veeam Free for options.
Starwind Converter is another solid choice, and the best part is that it's free!
If you're on Windows, you might want to check out Macrium Reflect. The trial version used to work just fine for P2V conversions in the past. I've also had success with Starwind for converting between Hyper-V and VMware; it supports P2V as well. You can find it here: https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
I actually have the VMware P2V tool if you get in a pinch!
