Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my Windows 10. I can't turn Windows Defender on or off, and it says I lack permission to access the exclusions list. Plus, I can't change permissions on my C drive and get this error: 'Can't open access editor. The activation requires a display name to be present under the CLSID key.' I also can't open the User Account Control settings or the sign-in options. Just to clarify, I am the administrator. Is there any way to resolve this?

Have you run any debloater or optimizer programs recently? Sometimes they can mess with permissions and settings.

I don't think I’ve run anything like that. It's so frustrating!
