I've been using Bluetooth to connect my Pixel 7 to my older car's entertainment system since it doesn't support Android Auto. However, after the recent update to Android 16, my phone won't connect to my car anymore. I can see the car in the Bluetooth device list, but it fails to connect. My phone connects fine to my Pixel Buds, so that's not the issue. I even tried resetting the car's entertainment system by unplugging the battery, but that didn't help at all. I have an old phone running Android 11 that connects just fine. I've also reset my Bluetooth settings without success. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this issue and knows of a solution?

Have you tried forgetting your car in the Bluetooth settings and then re-pairing it? Sometimes that helps clear up any connection glitches after an update. Let me know if it works!

That was my first step. No luck.
