Should I choose the 5070 Ti or stick with the regular 5070 for gaming?

I'm currently using a 3060 Ti for gaming, but it's starting to feel a bit underwhelming, especially with games like BF6 where I only get around 65-75 FPS on low settings. I've even experienced some weird graphical glitches. I'm considering an upgrade and know that the 5070 Ti would be a huge boost, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost compared to the standard 5070. I have a 39-inch 3440x1440 monitor and prefer to play with normal graphics settings, not maxed out. Games I frequently play include BF6, CoD, Hogwarts Legacy, F1, and Assassin's Creed.

Have you thought about the 9070 XT? It seems to be a good middle ground between the two cards you're considering.

Make sure your setup can support it! You'll want at least a 750W PSU and a decent CPU like a Ryzen 5000 series or Intel 12th Gen to get the full benefits of the 5070 Ti.

Good to know! I actually upgraded to an 850W PSU last year and have an i7 11700K, so I should be good there.

I used to have a 3060 Ti and loved it, but once I started playing BF6, I wanted more. I could hit 100-120 FPS on low settings with tweaks, but I still felt limited. If your budget allows, the 5070 Ti is a solid investment and will really handle BF6 well. If not, the 5070 is a good upgrade from your 3060 Ti too. Just know that future-proofing is a consideration, but if you're not maxing out games, you'll be fine with either option.

Thanks for the input! My 3060 Ti has been great, but I'm feeling the pressure from newer games. Sounds like I might need to upgrade soon!

I hear you! It’s tough as games advance, but your card has served you well. Time for an upgrade!

Consider checking places like Walmart for discounts on the 5070 Ti. I've seen it go cheaper than many places lately.

That's a great tip! I live near a Micro Center, and I've seen some good deals there for around $730-$750 for the 5070 Ti.

If you're gaming on that resolution, I'd definitely go for the 5070 Ti. It's not overkill at all!
