Choosing a GPU on a Tight Budget with a Weak PSU

I'm in the process of building a new PC and I'm feeling a bit stuck. Currently, I've got an Intel i3 10105F CPU, a GTX 1050Ti GPU, and a low-quality PSU that claims to be 750W but is actually only around 576W. I'm on a tight budget and plan to buy a 1440p monitor for $150, but I know I need a better GPU because my current one feels very outdated. I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 3060 for $200, but I've noticed that for just $10 more, I can get the RTX 3060Ti. I also want to upgrade my PSU, but I'm limited in funds right now. Is it okay to run the RTX 3060Ti on my current PSU, or should I stick with the RTX 3060, or do I have any other options? I found a couple of PSU options in my budget: the Seasonic B12 BC 650W for $60, and people say it's reliable. Any thoughts?

It’s crucial that you don’t cut corners on the PSU. The power supply is essential for your system's stability, and a bad one can cause significant issues down the line. If you can invest in the new PSU first, that's your best bet. As for the GPUs, the RTX 3060Ti will outperform the 3060 in most cases, especially at higher resolutions like 1440p. Save up a bit more for the PSU and then go for the Ti model, it’ll be worth it in the long run!

Totally agree! A decent PSU can save your whole setup from potential disasters. Good call on prioritizing it.
